NASCAR Green honored by the 2013 Interactive Media Awards
The NASCAR Green website received an Interactive Media Award for its excellence in design, development and implementation. NASCAR Green was awarded Best in Class in the Natural Environment/Green category, surpassing the standards of excellence that comprise the web’s most professional work. The judging consisted of various criteria, including design, usability, and innovation in technical features, standards compliance and content.
The Best in Class award is the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. It represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism. In order to win this award, the NASCAR Green site was put through a comprehensive judging process, achieving very high marks in each of the judging criteria – an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each year.
NASCAR Green and Omnigon Communications teamed up to create a website that builds awareness of NASCAR’s leadership in sustainability. Over the past few years, NASCAR and its stakeholders have made substantial environmental improvements and technological advancements while continuing to set new benchmarks. NASCAR has not only become a leader in green initiatives in sports, but also a leader within the business community.
